About the Project
CAPaware is a European initiative focused on helping citizens understand the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and its significance for food, the environment, and rural communities. The project addresses the lack of public knowledge about the CAP and the influence of EU decisions on agriculture. It promotes active citizenship through workshops, educational efforts, and awareness campaigns, facilitating dialogue among citizens, educators, farmers, and local stakeholders to share experiences and tackle common challenges.

-
Our main objectives are:
- Raise awareness and improve understanding of the Common Agricultural Policy among citizens.
- Encourage active democratic participation in EU-level policy dialogue.
- Empower young people, farmers, educators, and local communities as informed stakeholders.
- Promote EU values such as inclusion, gender equality, and non-discrimination.
- Strengthen cross-border cooperation between rural communities in Greece and Italy.
We turn policy into practice through four core methodologies
